    Dear Parents / Carers,

On Monday 10th May the Prime Minister announced that the country will move to Step 3 of the Roadmap.  Some guidance has started to be sent to schools specifically regarding education, but there is still a great deal of detail to come. At this point in time, the DfE has asked schools to maintain the bubble system and continue with established  safety protocols.

As previously stated, Covid restrictions will continue to be in place throughout the summer term.  Staff within the school are testing twice weekly and safety protocols and procedures remain in place. To reduce numbers on site, can I please request that children arrive during their allocated slots so that numbers of adults and children on site can be safely managed.

The teaching of the curriculum, a residential visit, sports day, transition projects, school trip, after school clubs, Sex & Relationship Education and Covid catchup workshops, assessments and report writing  makes the second half of term an extremely busy one. In addition, the school is expecting to receive further information from the DfE regarding the guidelines for procedures which will affect curriculum coverage, timetables, staffing and the risk assessment for how the school will operate in September.

Events for the term have been planned in, albeit in a changed format, bearing in mind present Government guidelines and the further reinforcement of maintaining the integrity of bubbles.

Due to the guidelines, we have planned and adapted activities knowing that parents are not allowed on the school site at this time.
