Whole School Newsletter (May 23 2022)

Dear Parents/Carers,

The summer term is always a busy one in school with lots going on. It was lovely to see so many children enjoy the disco on Friday night. Tomorrow is the school Sports Day and the weather is set to be fine! All parents are invited to come along and support the event. The main Mudeford Lane gate will be open from 10.15am and the event will finish around 12 o’clock.

Jubilee Celebrations

To celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, we will be having a special time of celebration. During the school day on Friday 27th May the children will take part in a variety of activities. You will have received a letter informing of the events taking place this Friday. Today we will be sending home a paper plate and it would be great if you could fill the plate with cakes (homemade or shop bought) and return to school on the morning of Friday 27th May ready for the Cake Sale in the afternoon. The children will also receive a small white picnic box and we ask that they decorate their box in celebration of the jubilee. We look forward to welcoming you in to school on Friday to participate in the celebrations.

PSHE Relationships and Sex Education for Years 5 and 6 will take place during the second half of the summer term. Miss McKinley, PSHE Subject Leader, will be giving parents the opportunity to view the materials that will be shared with the children. Year 5 viewing will take place on Thursday 23rd June at 5.30 – 7.00 pm and Year 6 viewing is Thursday 30th June 5.30 – 7.00pm.

As always, the dates of activities can be found on the school website in the News and Events, Calendar section.

Kind regards

M Partridge
