Finance
During the lockdown, many families are facing a reduced budget as a result of unemployment, furloughing or the increased costs associated with having children at home all day.
Although our changed circumstances can feel overwhelming or worrying, there are many organisations to help and support parents and carers facing new challenges. If your financial situation has changed, you may be entitled to additional support or benefits. Below are some links to help you:
- If your household income has been reduced your child may be eligible for Free School Meals. Food parcels are presently being delivered for FSM children of Mudeford Junior School. Find out if your family is eligible and apply for FSMs.
- If your financial circumstances have recently changed as a result of your becoming unemployed or furloughed, you may be eligible to claim Universal Credit. Find out more information about Universal Credit and apply for Universal Credit here.
- The Government has set up an online support page covering employment issues, benefit support and the impact of the coronavirus pandemic.
- Citizens Advice has lots of advice to support you if your circumstances have changed, as well as wider information and guidance on other issues you may be concerned about.
