New Editions of First News - A newspaper for children

First News

Article 17- Every child has the right to reliable information from the media. This should be information that children can understand. Governments must help protect children from materials that could harm them.

Each week First News ( a newspaper especially written for children) is made available to you in the school library. They have sent us an online copy for you to access while schools are closed.

Remember, if you have any questions or concerns about anything you read or see in the news, then talk to a trusted adult.

It’s a weekly newspaper for children that:

  • Keeps children up to date with news events in the UK and around the world.
  • Pitches news so it is engaging, but not scary or overwhelming.
  • Reports happy news too – First News is also full of fun, happy stories and entertainment.
  • Is recommended for children aged 7-14.
