Whole School Newsletter 6 January
Dear Parent / Carer 6 January 2025
Happy New Year and best wishes for 2025! The Christmas festivities already seem a long time ago. I was extremely proud of the quality of the Christmas performances which were of such a high standard. It was lovely to see so many parents attend the performances and the Christmas Fair, and celebrate this special time. As a result of your fantastic support, the Christmas Fair took over £5000 on the day!
New Year Pantomime
M&M Productions will be finishing off this first week back (Friday 10 January) by performing Sleeping Beauty to all of the children. This is a traditional pantomime with songs, laughter and audience participation!

The majority of Teacher led clubs will resume on Monday 13th January 2025. Please contact the office if you have any queries.
Please note that there will be no teacher led clubs during the week beginning Monday 10 February. This is due to Parents Evenings being held this week.
There will be no Year 5/6 Football Club during the first half of term due to Mr Goodlet undergoing minor surgery. The 5/6 Football Club will recommence on Thursday 27 February.
Gardening Club – as per usual Gardening Club will not take place during the first half of term due to the wintry conditions. Gardening Club will begin again on Monday 24 February and will continue until Monday 19 May.

Online Safety Newsletter
The Monthly Online Safety Newsletter will be sent out later this week. It is also uploaded onto the school website under Key Information – Safeguarding Page.
Mrs Burton led an Online Safety input to parents on Friday 22 November. She reported to parents on the growing need to monitor, recognise and prevent risk when your child is online. The newsletter also highlights this.
As always, ensure your child knows how to use the reporting and blocking features and that they know they should talk to you or another trusted adult if anything concerns them.
What can I do to help my child keep safe on line? Talk to your child about social media and who they follow. If there is anybody that you are unsure of, then check their feed and discuss with your child if you find anything worrying.

Parents who receive Income Support or Income Based Job Seekers Allowance or Child Tax Credit AND NOT Working Tax Credit AND an assessed annual income not exceeding £16190 are entitled to free school meals and clothing grant.
